Enviroweek Wrap Up!

This week is Enviroweek, and the Grade 2 students have embraced it whole-heartedly!

We decided to take the ‘Foodie Challenge’ and have been trying to eat and drink fresh and reduce our waste.

As well as the ‘Foodie Challenge’, the students have been challenging their own behaviour all week in lots of ways, to contribute to a more sustainable Australia.

Here are some of the changes we have made.

Great job Year 2! What fantastic and practical ideas you came up with! We are very inspired by your ideas. We would love to hear more updates to see if these changes are things that you can easily keep doing.
What was the most challenging new practice that you implemented?
    Keep up the great work!

    Hi 1SL and Mrs Lombardi!

We have found it really hard to reduce the number of wrappers we bring to school. It’s hard because we don’t do the food shopping, our parents are responsible for that. We noticed that the food that comes in wrappers is mostly junk food and it’s really hard to choose not to eat that food! Foods in wrappers are also very convenient. But we’ll keep trying!

    Thanks for reading our blog!
